A recent study says shyness is due to anxiety disorder. As a woman I disagree with this study, because in my opinion shyness in women is a born quality and it has got nothing to do with anxiety disorder.May be for men shyness can be associated with anxiety disorder. What do you think?

Maybe you mean social anxiety disorder. Social anxiety disorder is an anxiety disorder in which people fear social situations where they might be embarrassed or judged. Shyness alone means to feel a little scared when you're around other people. Some kids are born shy and more sensitive, but if you weren't shy as little kid, its still possible to be shy person due to your experiences. Social anxiety disorder are twice present than men. If you think someone are too shy and affect their daily routine, they may need to seek psychologist or therapist.
