Dance is like a way to express you feelings or say what you got to say, without saying a word! Even if you 'cant' dance.!

of course i do. its a way for me to express everything and anything that I feel - anger, joy, sadness, frustration. I admire Sabra from So You Think You Can Dance season 3. She dances from within her soul and it shows. She started dancing when she was 16 and at age 20 she won the contest. She has this passion that translates to beautiful, heartfelt dances.

I am not sure if feeling good is what comes to mind, however when I feel I am making progress or mastering a difficult step of sequence, just had a good performance, or just plain accomplishing what I set out to, that always feels good, and that is what makes it exciting for me. It encourages me to always work towards something and continually set higher standards for myself and work hard towards meeting them. Of course, I never-never-never feel good or relaxed after a bad performance or during a performance for which I did not get adequate preparation. Since a lot of my work is either professional, or for staging before an audience even if it's not professional, I do feel a lot of pressure to do my best and do a good job and make sure my work and my performance level meets a certain standard at all times... so it's not all good times! But when you love it you keep coming back to it and trying harder even if you get let down or disappointed in yourself from time to time. So how dance feels to me depends on my mood and feeling of accomplishment. I will say that sometimes it feels quite refreshing to be able to "dance out" any negative feelings you may have in an empty studio/room by yourself with no one there to judge your every move (like therapy if you will). As for what I admire in the field of dancers, I have always loved the male dancers best because of their ability to be physically powerful and delicate at once, which is something I always strive to be in my own dancing. I therefore look up to that a lot. I love how dance is all my talents and interests married into one art form. My whole life, I wanted to be a professional athlete, an artist, and a musician, and wanted be a performer in whatever capacity that would be, and dance is not only all of those things rolled into one, but it is a creative enough process that it can me modified as a form of self-expression regardless of what your interests are.
