From time to time, people have their dinner at restaurant, espectially in a special occasion to treat some important persons. But after dinner, how do you usually do to deal with your left-over meal. Do you pack them home or leave them on the table? For most people in China, in the special occasion, it doesn't need to take the left-over meal home. perhaps for the reason of face-saving, no one is willing to do such things, and in the end, maybe lots of meal will be thrown away. If you are present,as one of the eaters, what will you do? Thanks! I hope for your discussion here.;)

For me, it depends on how much is left over and what it is, since some things just don't taste right when reheated. Everyone in my house likes to snack at night. We usually heat up leftovers from dinner, so if there is a decent amount left at a restaurant, we bring it home. The way we see it, unless it is an insignificant amount of scraps, we paid for it and doggone it, we're gonna eat it. If it's something like battered, deep fried fried fish or french fries, we leave it because they turn really soggy when reheated. In my house, we are firm believers in not wasting anything. To us, it is like throwing money away.

Yes, wastering food is like throwing money. We need to try not to leave leftovers, and make full use of them for the next dinner. In my opinion, we can order sufficient dishes at the restaurant and cook enough food at home, not leaving meals as much as possible. Thanks for your response.

I think it all depends on which restaurant we are eating in, if it is just an ordinary one then no we do not take leftovers home, but if we go to pizza hut then yes we do take leftovers home, only because there is always so much left!! My mum asks for a doggy bag when she goes out, but not for herself she takes it home for her dog!!

Thanks! To feed the pets is an effective way to deal with the leftovers. But even one or two dogs could not eat much leftovers, and they can't be treated meals left for several days and reheated many times. have a good day!

my parents used to eat everything up at home though they are totally full sometimes.but it's harmful for their health.so i don't encourage them to do so.instead,i suggest them throw them away.it may seem a waste of food.yes,it does a waste.but to settle the problem from the essence,i advice them to cook food with smaller quantity,in which case we can escape from waste. the same for the restaurant.what do you think about it?
