The gas prices are steady going up. I have been using 87 Regular, that Premium gas is just to High, but they say it is better to put High test or Prmium, because you burn less gas? I wonder about that? What do you use? or does it really make a difference, well I think if you have a nice Car or New Car, you wouldn't want to put cheap gas in your car, but My car is 10 yrs. old. so it doesn't matter to me, what I put in my car. well actually I have going to go with the cheapest. Have a Nice week! (",)

Using premium gas has nothing to do with getting better gas mileage. I wouldn't use premium gas except under two circumstances: One, your owner's manual specifies it, or Two: Your car pings. If neither of those apply, then it's a waste of money. Most cars will run on 87 octane just fine. The only time I've ever put premium in any of my cars is when I had a really old car that pinged really bad. The best way to help you burn less gas is to keep your car running good and tuned up. Driving gently is also very helpful.

I did hear that if yo have a Tune-up your Car burnes less gas. I have heard that several times. and having plenty of Air in tires helps too.

I use regular too, most cars only need the regular gas. There is no such thing as cheap gas anymore. That sucks when we thing its cheap when it gets down to $3 a gallon. I have to use the cheapest too, I don't go much because of gas prices. I have an older car and its a gas guzzler.

I use the lowest octane (cheapest) but I always buy it at Krogers gas stations because with my Kroger card I get 10 cents off each gallon. That is a great help!

We use regular gasoline in our car. Our car is a 1991 Sable and I don't think that it is going to help it any by putting better gasoline in it. Being on a fixed income we have to use the cheapest as well.

We don't have a car yet (hoping we would own one someday) but hubby does have amotorcycle, I think he use diesel on it, way cheaper than gasoline but of course gas is still friendlier to our environment. Our company pushes an LPG driven cars because it's also cheaper and is cleaner.

Hi Marcia! My daughter and I both use regular gas in our cars because they both run fine on that and it is so much cheaper also. My husband, however, has to use super unleaded in his truck because if he doesn't it misses and backfires really bad. His truck is older, though, and I guess that makes a difference. Take care! If you Husband has a truck, and it is old, I know he uses a lot of gas for it.

For the most part I use the cheapest I can find. There are some brands my car doesn't like as much but thankfully the cheap ones around it does. Right now I think we are around $3.23 for 87 octane but I haven't been out in a couple of days so who knows if it has changed again. Sometimes around here they change mid day. I see the sign at 9am and it's one thing but at 1pm it's a different price and then at 6pm it's changed again. No telling with them. I've tried premium gas, I didn't see any difference with it. I see more of a difference when I make sure my tires have the right amount of air in them.

Hi Marcia, I too use regular gas in my car. They tell me that it does not do you any good to put the higher grade gas in your car, it will not do anything but cost more money. I have tried it in my car, I did not get any better gas milage. I bought my car new, the owners manual tells me to use the 87 octane gas in the car.
