" I was country when country wasn't cool." That's me.I am not a cowgirl. I have never been on a farm but I do love country music.I am old school. My favorites are Patsy Cline, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson,Dolly Parton, and Emmylou Harris. and many others who made it big between 1974-1980.In 1980, I got intro rock and roll but I did come back in the 90's when I heard Alan Jackson and Vince Gill, Reba, and Lorrie Morgan. These days I am not into the new kids of country. Back in the day my country station was 98WMZQ.

I am a big time country music fan. I love alot of the new stuff as well as the old. In Manitoba, Canada we have a station called QX 104 and they have a rewards program. They have a song of the day, 4 bonus words and a question of the day. You answer these questions and submit the right words and song of the day you can earn up to 2500 points a day. There are surveys that you can do about country music of course and you get a bonus point word worth 1000. They also have bonus point places where you go to say something like a restraunt and pick up this word again it's worth 1000 points. So far my dad my mom and I have cashed in on concerts such as The Roadhammers with special guest Willie Mack, Gord Bamford as well as mom wanted to go to International Women's Day so here and I went to that as well. Right now dad and I are working on concert tickets to Alan Jackson and Brooks and Dunn.

I've been listening to country music all my life and although I do like some rock and other forms most of the music I listen to is country. I think my favorites are from the late 70's to mid 90's. When I was growing up and listened to the radio more. Now I kind of stick to what I know but I do hear some of the new songs that come out and new groups some of which are very good. I also like some older singers like Loretta Lynn. Never cared much for Patsy Cline. I know most love her but I never cared for her voice. The lyrics for her songs are great but I can't stand her voice. That's a personal thing I guess. Some I do like are Reba, Garth Brooks, Terri Clark, Lone Star, BJ Thomas, Conway Twitty, and Bellamy Brothers to name just a few. There are just way too many for me to list.

Yuck, yuck. I don't like country music much at all. It's just not my thing. No offense though. I still gave you a positive rating. There are a few country songs I like, but overall? Country music is NOT the genre for me, if you know what I mean. I prefer pop and rock.

I am also a very big country music fan. I grew up on the stuff. A few years ago I stopped listening to it but have since started back again. In fact that is mostly the only music I will listen to. I love it, they have beautiful songs. I can't really decide which radio station is my favorite as there are four in my area.
