I Have To Install and Repair Everything, With or Without Instructions!

Today I installed an ironingboard and iron rack which was of course, made somewhere in China, and did not come with instructions. It contained: 3 screws, three anchors, three plastic washers and three rubber stoppers, with no instructions on where to place the screws, stoppers, or washers. Needless to say, after trial and error - placing it against the wall, inserting the iron in the rack, insteting the board in it, and several wishy-washy theories, I got it up. Hubby simply shrugged, "I'm not getting involved," he said. Great. Another one of those projects where I was once again left to my own devices: no drill bits, no hammer, no equipment but a nail, an oversized screw to make the hole for the wall anchors, and a screwdriver. So I made a whole for the anchor with the oversized screw, smoothed the inside withthe nail, hammered the anchors in with the end of the screwdriver, and finally screwed the thing up. Looks good. Even Hubby said that I did a good job. Damn! Thankfully it only took about 20 minutes. The job preceding this one was changing out the insides of the toilet. GAHHH!!! How many of you have suffered the "I don't want to get involved" treatment, and had to do a job with no instructions and with lousy tools? Tell us about your adventures...;) And for all those looking for instructions on completing those Spring projects - here's my favorite how-to website: http://www.doityourself.com/

I like doityourself.com Pretty good site. As for "endeavours", a few years back I had to repair and readjust a shelf after the family decided they weren't doing that. Also had to repair a rack in the bathroom after the family said, "not it". -_-
