You think you can get discount from the shop you bought your new clothes? No! They charged the shoes as high as they can and put a discount on it, returned to its actual prize. What a strategy? Do you ever experience that?

yeah i have expierenced it many times that few days back when i went to my friends clothes shop so he was selling a T shirt of Rs250/- only but when i went yesterday on his shop so saw a big board of sale and it was written 20% sale n still he was selling T-shirts on the same price of Rs 250/- per piece as they were saying that the original price is 300 but now for your the customer convineance we are selling you this outrageous shirt only for 250 Rs only.So some people always says that a business man will never make a lost on his own interests. He will make new ways to make the local people fool as they know that its not easy to sell things to the smart people ,but even then we the so called smart people usuallu get fooled by the idiotic fool shopkeepers

I'd have to agree with that statement in some cases....but not in others. I got a very good deal on a pair of running shoes for my son.....regular $50.00 on sale for $7.00 (brand name shoes too!) "Buyer Beware"....I say....know your stuff!!!! ...... Then you will recognize a great deal when you see one!!!

My dad, who was a Marketing major in college, said that establishment owners won't put up a sale or discount if they know they won't gain from it. Often times, they put in a tag that says the original price is $1 and the discounted price is $0.75 - the deal is, the $0.75 is often the original price, they just trick consumers into thinking that they saved, when in fact, they paid the original price. From his own experience - my dad was eyeing this cookware and he had been watching the price. When he heard there will be a store-wide sale, he decided to come back. Although he wasn't surprised, he was disappointed to know that the discounted price was even higher than the price prior to the sale. My dad just shook his head and grin.
