I am a Christian and a lover of music. But I don't like secular ones. But even among the Christian music, sometimes I am confused as to if they are really godly or not. Please, as a Christian brother or sister, what is your view ??

Does the music you are listening to bless the Lord? If Christ were sitting next to you listening would He approve? I love all kinds of music(ok, except polka and the really nasty rap stuff)and even some of the secular music is not offensive. What songs in particular are you referring to? I would love to give you my opinion if you can be more specific.

What you listen to if your choice, and it is your opinion whether or not you feel the artist is "godly". I listen to artists like Jeremy Camp, Michael W Smith, Barlowgirl, Superchick, Relient K (my favourite), Nichole Nordeman and the list could go on and on. It really depends on what genre of music you prefer. I'm very into music so if you have any questions let me know what style of music you like and perhaps I can recommend something for you. Also, for a song to be "godly" it doesn't necessarily have to mention God or Jesus in those words. It can simply be an expression of joy or other feelings; feelings that God has given us. What is your definition of "godly" then, if you are having doubts about the music you listen to?
