What did you want to be when you grew up?

We all get asked that famous question, what do you want to be when you grow up? What was your answer when you were little? Did you become what you always wanted or did you end up doing something completely different? When I was little, I always said that I wanted to be a mom and wife. Playing house was one of my favorite past times. Those are two things that define who I am today. As I grew older and started learning about different careers while in school, I started leaning more towards Social Work specializing with foster children. That's not what I'm doing today; I work in a group home taking care of mentally challenged adults. This job is really rewarding to me BUT it's not my career choice. Once life becomes alittle less hectic, I plan on going to college for health administration. One day, I would like to work at the hospital.. until then, I'm just going to gain experience and job stability.

When I was in primary (elementary) school, like most kids, I wanted to be a teacher. As I grew up and started to watch alot of movies, I wanted to become an actress but that dream quickly dissolved when I was actually laughed at for such an absurd idea by other NEW classmates. I had just started high school as we all did but for some reason girls never liked me...ever. Well as I grew up I wanted to do something more computer based and I had finally decided on becoming a video game designer because I love those! That was when I was in the USA, but since I decided to return back to my homeland, I am gonna follow one of my ultimate passions, baking! I would love to do catering for weddings or birthday parties, maybe Christmas time. I can bake very well but can't decorate to save my life so I'm trying to make a little money to do a class.

Hi! Thank you for responding to my post. I think catering would be an awesome career, especially since you enjoy doing it so much. You'll be able to contribute something wonderful during some of the most important times in people's lives!
