well, these days , when i do some research relating to linguistic history, i was shocked that there are far more languages have extincted compared to my pre-expection. what makes things worse is that , now, still there are many 'remote' languages are suffering this seems doom destiny at an ever increasing speed. but what can we do????/ english. english, where respect of communication has been dominated by this 'global language", it really seems there is a lack of compelling reason for some community to resisit their own langusge.......a new kind of natural selection and the fittest survival, in the social domain, but is it really not a pity to let them go, if not, what can we do?????? is it the responsibility of government to preserve these endangered languages??? what do you thingk???

Each different language is a product of a different culture, and a unique way of thinking about the world. When we lose languages, we are also losing the diversity of though that goes along with them, and it's a real shame. Some people feel that it would be best for everyone to retain their native language and learn a simple second language like Esperanto, I have heard. I don't really know the solution

It may not be the responsibility of the government to preserve these languages, but the responsibility of scholars and the people whose language it is. While English is a global language it doesn't hurt for a local community to use their language in their day to day dealings with family and friends.
