POP question: chicken or egg?

With regards to evolution, and that the chicken evolved from some more earlier creature (some say lizards which would be distinctly plausible with dinosaurs), while the egg is merely its process of being born at its current state, it may imply that chicken came first before the egg when the question for this discussion is considered alone.
