Cops line the street to bust an high school party, but noone was tested for being drunk, the keg was filled with Root Beer, the kid that hosted the party is trying to show kids that you dont have to drink to have fun at a party. I thought this was so cool and maybe it will start a new trend here is the link http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2008/03/28/national/a155502D63.DTL

Last I saw that article (about the time it was published) it said they had given a breathalizer to all 98 kids at the party just to be sure. Reason being, if by chance one of them WAS drinking, and they weren't all tested and something happened..the cops would get hit hard for the aftermath. That said, very impressed and I applaud these kids. But I don't think they were alone in the planning, most people don't know you can get pop in a keg let alone kids. And if they planned to drink it over several days if any was left over, they would need a keggerator to do that as well as knowledge on how to properly operate one. So I have a feeling an adult, or atleast a college student, assisted them in this. :)

Yea your proabally right, im sure his mom or something told him he could have a party but NO alchole. Its crazy, i would never think that highschool kids would actually have a party with no alchole.

yea but i also lived in the country, where there was nothing to do but drink or whatever. Every party i knew about had alchole there. I'm sure in the city where kids can actually go out and play putt putt golf, or bowling find better thangs to do than drink. I dont know though, i was a nerd that never really was invited to partys, so there could of been a lot of partys without alchole that i didnt know about.

Not entirely that crazy, I hosted many parties without alchol myself. I even set a strict rule that if you showed up with any you would get a choice between meeting the cop that lives down the road or my baseball bat. :) My younger brother is the same way as I am. It all comes down to your values, and what many people don't realize is that many HS students have very solid and good values that often go unnoticed.

I love this such a good idea. More kids need to be this responsible.

I know i was so suprised to find that it was a kid that thought of it, i really do hope that more and more kids lead by his example, im not against drinking, but this will help it die down a little.

I read that and laughed so hard. I thought it was funny that the kids were smart enough to do that. Ainge
