How safe is your credit card?Credit and debit card fraud soared by 25% last year to reach a record high, according to the banking industry. Are you concerned about card security?The Association of Payment Clearing Services (Apacs) said losses amounted to £535m during 2007, the first rise in three years. The group said the figure was largely driven by a 77% jump in fraud carried out abroad, with criminals using stolen UK card details overseas, typically in countries that have not yet upgraded to chip and pin.
