Anyone heard of care.com?

This is website that helps people find jobs, and service providers. I am trying to write an article for Boston Now magazine, but am having trouble contacting a PR person. Anyone ever done this sort of thing? I'm really not a journalist, but have always been interested in the idea. If anyone has any tips or pointers, they are very much welcome and appreciated.

Hello edgy. I am not a journalist either. My own writing is more for personal enjoyment. I have not tried to write an article for publication before.
I am not sure what you want pointers about? Getting through to a PR person?

I wasn't sure about how to approach a PR, or what questions to ask, or how to process the info. I've always been interested in journalism, but never did anything with it. I ended up contacting the senoir PR, and conducted an email interview. It worked out pretty well. However, the magazine shut down operations just after I submitted the piece, so none were even considered. Oh, well...I stepped out and tried something new, I would even go as far to say I would do it again too.
