What if you could choose your gender?

If you are give a chance to choose your gender,which gender would you choose?I'm talking about you could your gender from the moment your were born.
I am a girl,I used to want to be a boy when I was little.I thought boys are more freely to do what they want to do,they are so free and easy ,they can be spontaneous as they like.
But I changed my mind when I grow older.I feel so lucky that I am a girl.Boys have so many responsibilities as they grow older,they have to worry about the mortgage.In China,boys who were born in a common family,they have to struggle their life to make as much money as they can so that they can buy an apartment for his marriage.Well,girls don't have to worry about houses,they have many privileges ,they just marry a good husband and all the problems are solved.So,even if I was given a chance to choose my gender,I still want to be a gril.
What's your opinion?

If i were to choose, i will wanna be a gal too.. LOL ^_^ THough being guys got much freedom, but being a gal has got much priviledges except for the painful menstration and pregnancy :) Other than that, being a gal is really far better than guys in many ways ^_^

I am happy to be a woman, without a man to support me. I live alone and have the same responsibilities as a single man.
When I was a child I would spend more time playing outside with boys rather than stay indoors and play with other girls. I generally get on better with men than with women. I never let the fact that I am a woman stop me from doing anything I want to do in life.

i enjoy being a girl now, so i guess i'd still choose to be one.
but then again, boys doesn't go through monthly periods , giving birth, menopause plus the responsibilities that goes with it.
unless a guy is responsible enough, men can go slacking around, leaving their wives the responsibilities (this is based on my experience, hehe) so i guess they have it easier.

I have no objections about being a girl but if given the chance to choose, I'd rather be a boy. Because they can do whatever they want without people telling them that "hey you shouldnt do that, you're this or that". They are allowed to stay out late at night because their parents are not that worried because they know boys can protect themselves. And guys can do things without meeting the people's expectations, or proving to people that they can do things because of their gender.

I think the same way as you do! At least when it comes to wanting to be a boy as a child. It was true back then, boys were not asked to do dishes, and there was "girl" toys and dolls and then there was "boy" toys and activities! I am not so sure that all a girl has to do nowadays is marry well, so many end up divorced and are broke now or even while married! I have even heard of the women paying child support when the man gets custody of the kids. I do agree that being an adult female is better than being a male! At least that is what it seems to me.
