Which do you prefer, low or high waist? I prefer low-rise because high waist has a tendency to shrink you waist and add "pounds" to your stomach. Low-rise just sits on your hips, making you look slimmer. What do you think? http://shopinchic.blogspot.com

I always go for low rise stuff, i feel omfortable using those than high wais. I eat a lot and I need something low all the time. Ahahaha.. Anyway, I think it looks better than high-waist pants or undies right? It looks sexier.

hehehe.. In my case and based from my experiences with high waist jeans, my belly would look big when i wear them. When I eat, of course my belly doesn't exagerate of looking so big. Anyway, thanks for the quick response.

If women have a big blly it will look big in either. What often women make the mistak of doing is if they can't feel it "trussed up" it then becomes absent from the mind. There is no worse turn off than fat over hipters take my word for it. A support undergarment and high waist is far better; specially when the support undergarmnt can be sexy in its own right. Ask Dita von Teese.

have a look at my post above. I am a man. I like girls.so I feel I am qualified to make such judgement....especially as I work in haute couture. it is a turn off unless you have 34 inch inside leg and a tiny waist and flat tummy. high waist can be sexier go look at the link. do you think a building sit workr looks eexy with his jeans hanging around his butt with fat hanging over? Same thing. low waist fine under a size 6 and long legs.

low rise definently i could never wear high waisted pants, i hate things being on my stomache that would rub like that it would drive me crazy, but a lot of people wear their low rise to small and gives them an effect as if they have huge love handals but as long as you buy the right size they should make you appear slimmer then high waisted pants

Thats why tunics are a beautiful thing. They are long enough to cover any mishaps. http://shopinchic.blogspot.com

I agree with you..it adds a little shape on your butt and on your waist.. I look more sexier in a low waist jeans.

Hands down, definitely low rise jeans. Am sorry but I find high-rise jeans a bit unappealing. And besides, I think high-rise jeans are no longer in the fad, am I correct? Most of my jeans are low-rise/hipsters. They make my rear look good as well. LOL

If you are a size 6 with very long legs fine. Otherwise it will shorten your legs and your fat will hang over. High waist can make your hips accnuated therefore slimming your waist and definatly elongating your figure. I don't know where these ideas come from. I am a MALE working in fashion and take it from me we know what women look good in. It is like shoulder pads. women THINK they make them look big. NO. They make your waist and hips look small: better a traingle than a pear. Same with coats. A tight coat will make you look fat...gaping between butons, clinging to rolls even if you are slim. Why do you think the models are always photographed in coats two sizes too big when other clothes are sprayed on them? A coat should eb big to make what is underneath look small. huge collars and cuffs also make the wearer look smaller. Movement is important too: a long flowing coat...especially a fur...will always make you look slimmer and more graceful Again buy a coat two sizes too big...and then you can even belt it for an amazingly flattering look...unless of cours you have too many pounds on your waist. In this case, if you do have a fuller waist...wear a girdle or corset not draw attention to it by wearing a low waist. Then, in a higher waisted cut, your hips will look fuller too and therfore make your waist look even smaller. A shorter bolero can get that look down to a tee; specially if you are not very tall or have short legs. Just to exagerate that...look at the matador; http://www.espn.go.com/i/eticket/20061102/photos/matador29.jpg now yes it makes his hips look bigger but it makes his waist look tiny. NOW THINK BUILDER WITH HIS JEANS AROUND HIS HIPS. get my point? It is the same for girls. More so unless you are size 6 and 33 inch plus legs. thierry Mugler is a master of this: he sculpts women...you don't often get him putting women in low waists; and this shows how shoulder exageraion and high nipped waists can look amazing: http://flypaper.bluefly.com/images/sjcf_01_img0285.jpg Now contrast that with this: http://www.aussie_news_views.typepad.com/aussie_news_views/images/jeans.jpg and that girl is not big by any means. Whatever your size a nipped waist is always going to look better than low cut jeans which leave you without that ability.

Low rise jeans are my favorite. I find them more comfortable I cant stand those high wasted pants. They make me feel to confind and I cant stand it.
