I love this Showtime drama. It is excellent. I just rented the whole first season and watched the first episode of season 2 online at showtime.com. I don't have cable anymore, so now I have to wait till the end of this season to watch it. Do you watch? What do you think?

My absolute favourite historical time period is the Tudor reign o Henry and his many wives. I tried watching that show, but I just couldn't. It's too soap opera drama-esque for me.

I have seen some of the episodes, when there is nothing else to watch. I like historical settings, but I feel this one is only shown in dresses. Henry VIII did a lot of things besides sleeping around and beheading his wives. I wish they would have shown more of that at the show. Breaking away from the Catholic church and creating the Church of England was not only a rant to get another wife. He could have any mistress he wanted. There ais need of power and need of seeking an identity for his country also.

I absolutely love the show! Of course it's not totally accurate but I never miss an episode. I got my mom hooked as well. She had no idea about it until I said there was a new show starting that I wanted to watch. So when it first premiered last year, she was a goner. LOL...she's not one to buy DVDs and keep them around but this she HAD to have.
