Have you ever asked the question: Why is it that the only people that ever win the lottery always fall into these 3 catagories: 1. senior citizen (too advanced in age to ever hope to spend the money before their time runs out). 2. Foreigner (someone that is just visiting and happens to play the lottery just for the hell of it). 3. Wealthy (someone that already has plenty of money but always wants more without spending their own to get it). Have you ever heard of anyone winning the lottery that you can say truly needed or deserved to win? just curious about other people's views on this.

There have been a few that I have seen that needed the money. The most recent one I don't know if he needed the money or not but a sweet guy and very kind hearted man this past weeks lottery. Jose Lima who owns a butcher shop called Nosso Talho Butcher Shop in Toronto won 14.5 miliion dollars on the March 27th 2008 draw. He gave $5000 to each of his 50 employees and then April 3rd gave about 1000 boxes of chicken legs to his customers. They said on the news that he had a truck load of chicken wings delivered to the shop and it is estimated $30000.00 worth of meat. Needless to say not only his regular customers showed up for it but people who have never been to the butcher shop. You can read the story here. http://www.thestar.com/News/GTA/article/404836

Ain't that the truth? I've noticed that many of times. The very first big lotto winner here in Florida when it was up in the 80 millions was this little old lady, with a ton of cats, and no family. I'm glad she won but she will never go through all that. I still play though and hope at some point maybe I'll get lucky enough to win. Be nice huh?

Here's a story of a very wise personal trainer in Illinois who won. They don't make a ton. http://money.cnn.com/2007/02/20/magazines/fortune/lottery_winnings.fortune/index.htm and a not so smart rich man :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Whittaker_(lottery_winner)

i know what you're saying. it's always Dr So and So, and when you see the picture, they're standing in front of their 8 bedroom house next to their Lambrogini. you never see Bubba Joe Two-Toes, from Wilted Pine Trailer Park, just won the grand prize...
