How do you know if a girl likes you?

Okay.....i know this girl at my school and she plays the cello. She is so pretty and smart and i want to ask her out. The only problem is that whenver i try to ask a girl out they say no and i'm always afraid of rejection. Anyone got any tips to help see if a girl likes me or not.
P.S. we're only in freshmen so nothing too complicated please.

I can't give you the best advice out there, but it helps to be friendly and talk to her every chance to get, without looking obsessive. Maybe talk to her about music since she obviously seems interested in playing music. It helps to talk about things she is interested in. I hope that helps!
