Make a Wish Come True Party

Has anyone ever done this? You and your friends get together for a fun evening together. Everyone puts a small amount of money in an envelope, like $5 or $10. Then everyone puts their name in a hat. One person's name is drawn and they get the envelope. You get together on a regular basis and do this every time. I don't know if the previous winner is barred from winning for a while or not.
Is this something you would do?

That sounds like something i would do, if I had friends! That would def. be a nice thing to do for someone especially if one member has more $$ than another and they get that envelope, it's very exciting!

that's why I like it. The amount each person gives would not be too much to give. But added together would be really a lot to help someone. I have heard of people taking vacations with what they made at these parties.
But, yeah, you gotta have friends first.

That sounds like a lot of fun. If I won I would be calling and getting a massage asap! I would think you'd all take turns in having your name drawn,i.e. when your name is drawn it doesn't go back in until you start over. What a great idea.
