If on the racks at storew was vest with jet pack in back etc that enabled you to fly around..would you buy this..do you think this would solve the gasolline problem? do you think perhaps we would have to have some traffic regulations in the sky ..as people would clutter up the sky? what do you think?

Hi littlefranciscan! Oh, that would be marvelous. I would definitely buy the flying suit. Yes, it would solve the gasoline problems but for sure there would be a lot of people up the sky. But I think i wouldn't go that high up the sky..because I am scared of heights. Probably I am one of those who would fly up to the height of a 1st storey house. LOL! Take care and have a nice day!

I think you would get to know more people; for sure. Can you imagine passing by people and waving hello on your way to work..LOL..But then again you might have to wear a bullet proof vest..if you have enemies..LOL you would be a moving target.

I suppose if it didn't run on gasoline, it could help the gas problem. I'm not especially interested in flying, but I'd buy my son & my partner suits like that. They're both big airplane nuts, and I know they'd love to fly (without an airplane). I don't mind flying, I'm not afraid of it per say, but I'm also not a huge fan of it.

Well there are all kinds of gas..but you do know that smaller cars get better gasmileage..what kind of tank would be required to carry one person around?

If it were solar powered that would make sense. But, alas, I do think we would get those who would make necessary to create regulations of some sort.

This day may come sooner than most think Fran. http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1371985.aspx I'd be one of the first in line for this, of course the costs are going to be astonishing... Don't think it'll solve the gasoline problem, as you'll be trading unleaded for jet fuel. Of course if there was another power source for future jetpacks (nuclear, solar, electric, antimatter) then that would negate the dilemma.

Initially the costs would be out of this world; but, I do believe that they would drop as they do for all things that become common. I think it would solve many problems..I would think, bosses would expect their employees on time if they are able to fly over the traffic on the ground;)

If you were to get a suit with a jetpack on the back, wouldn't it probably require gas to work? I dont know lol, that's my thought! =O

i would by it but i dont think tht i would solve the gas issue, but it would require more expesive fuel. if it had a good and reuseable fuel source.

There are all kinds of gasoline.. Why can't we try others..like the gasoline made from corn.

This is a interesting concept. I don't know if it would solve the gas problem. It would depend on how the jet pack is fueled. If it is fueled with gasoline than we are right back where we started from. If it was a jet pack that was electric you could just plug it in. You would have to watch how long you are in the air so that you don't use the electricity up in the pack and still be in the air. . To be honest I think that there are a lot of people who would not use them. I think there would still be cars being driven. Then on top of that there probably would be enough to clutter up the sky. I love to fly so I probably would be one of the first to buy a vest with a jet pack.

YOu know, the smaller the tank..the more you get out of it.. and the lighter the vehicle...gasoline in cars..have to pull very heavy vehicles..most people would not need that much gasoline in the tank to lift them..but just for short trips..like to get to work..just put on your jet pack and fly right over the traffic:)

I think it was proven that people would never be able to use jet packs, because they would set you on fire and the heat comming from the back would also cause heat stroke. If they were possiable I would bet the skys would double in polution.
