A 96 year old American man married a 73 year old Canadian lady and now they are separated due to immigration issues...
Canadian Doreen Buttery, 73, was a temporary visitor when she met Leonard "Woody" Woodward at a senior center in Provo. They wed this year and honeymooned in Alberta — which gave Buttery the chance to sell her house and prepare to move to Provo permanently.
But she hadn't filled out the paperwork to immigrate and was stuck at the border as her husband took the bus back to Provo.
I think immigration department should relax the regulation a bit since this is a case where two senior citizens are involved and not just a day to day couple trying to enter a country stuff...

I do hope this can soon be sorted out. It seems to have been an error or oversight in the woman's paperwork. You are right, there should be compassion for this couple and they must be allowed to be together again. Their marriage is never going to be a long one, so to force them to stay apart would be heartless.
