Why young people wear glasses?

Hi andyzeng,do you wear glasses?Yeah,I wear glasses.I use computer everyday and don't care my sight.So my glasses is thick and it is about 800 degrees.Now most young people have computers and they often play games for hours.There is no doubt that computer makes many people become short sight.

I had read an article not too long ago about long hours on a computer and does it affect your eye sight. It said that the computer screen is not actually what hurts our eyes, it's the fact that we don't blink enough while on it. Therefore the lack of natural moisture is what is damaging our eyes. I thought that was very interesting. I myself have noticed since reading this, that I don't hardly ever blink while on the computer. I guess whatever we are looking at is so interesting to us that our brains just kind of forget to blink! Anyway, I do wear glasses but mainly just when I'm driving.
