Do you bring your ATM/credit/debit cards all the time?

I was advised to bring just enough cash when I go out and leave my cads because I am an impulsive buyer. What about you? Do you leave your cards when you already have enough cash to pay for your intended buys or you carry your cards incase you see something you wanna/need to buy? Thanks in advance.

I always bring my debit when I shop. I really don't like using cash that often,I mean if I have some,I keep it,but I try to keep it minimal. I just like using my debit card. Its so much easier to whip it out, rather than dig out cash and counting it. There's nothing I hate more than waiting in line and having someone count out all their cash AND change! I was a cashier once and people did it ALL the time, even in the Express lane! That is so incredibily stupid and inconsiderate. For the best and and latest, check out-http://shopinchic.blogspot.com

I think there are lanes now intended for card payment. I still prefer cash over debit cards so I'll know if the budget intended for the day runs out already. Thanks for posting!

Yes I carry my debit cards and credit cards with me. They are in my purse at all times. I don't think I am an impulsive buyer, matter of fact I think I am the opposite. I think its because I am always low on money that I am careful what I spend money on. Even if it is something I really want, I tend to think well what if I need this money for something really important. SO yes I do carry them with me. If I find something really cheap I might buy it. I think I probably spend money on other people before I do on myself. People have actually said things to me before, like why don't you ever buy anything for you? I guess I am just a giving person.

I am also like you, I overspend on my children's things but I could not even afford to but myself a pair of new jeans :-) I prefer leaving my atm card especially now that child had learned that we could withdraw anytime anywhere so the best ay to say no is nothaving the card at all. At least if she had seen my wallet almost empty, she'll know I am not joking that we don't have enough to pay for things she wants to buy. Thanks for responding!

I tend to always carry my debit cards, but I don't carry all my credit cards with me, just one or two. I keep them for security because you never know when you will need it. My car might not start and need to be towed, so it's great to have a card on hand to pay the tow truck driver because they won't tow your car without it. Or, I could be stuck somewhere all day and need to buy something to eat that I didn't plan on. I rarely buy things out of impulse, so I don't worry about overspending.

That's nice. I think carrying a card is indeed helpful in cases of emergency. When I travel, I also bring my wallet where I put my cards but if I am just going to buy something in a nearby grocery store, I just carry enough cash so that I won't have choice but to return to the store if I really need to buy that article I saw.

I agree with you. That;s why I also hold back myself from applying for credit cards before I might end up overspending. Thanks for responding!

i don't have credit cards or debit cards (whatever it is), but i do have an atm which is always in my wallet. i always bring my wallet so it goes that i always bring my atm. but that's only if i'm going to the office or going to the mall or somewhere far that i might need to make an emergency withdrawal. but that seldom happens because i make it a point to always have cash in my wallet for emergency purpose. and then, when i'm going to the market or the grocery store, or shopping at nearby stores, i don't bring my wallet and atm card. i bring another wallet, a thinner one, and there i put enough money that i think would suffice to whatever it is i'm buying.

Hello! I also carry a coin purse or a smaller wallet where I put my cash when I shop or go out. Even when I go out, I always carry it and its what I bring out in public for security reasons.

most of the time I go out I don’t really bring my atm card, just some cash and sometimes a credit card just in case. Unless im out to work then I'll usually carry everything in my purse and that includes atm card/credit card and stuff..

I see... I bring them too when I go to work or school but I make sure that there's another purse for the cash I can only spend for the day.

I keep all of my cards in my walet so whereever I am they will always be with me. Really it's just the only place I have to keep them, it is also conveint to have them all in the same place.

I agree with you and with someone forgetful like, this is a good tip but I am also an impulsive buyer so I prefer leaving my cards at home. It maybe shameful to admit but there are lots of pickpocket cases in the metro so I just leave them at home and carry them when I need it only.

You'll soon have one dear, just be industrious and you'll be needing to open one someday hehe I only have ATM cards, I am afraid getting credit cards because I am indeed an impulsive buyer.
