I am thinking of buy some cooking books these days. It is true my present and simple cookings are totally self-studies.My appetite is extremly tired of same tastes every day. Living too far away from my mother,it is impossible to ask help from her.In fact,my mother is an excellent cooker in our family. I usually search on internet if I want to eat any special delicacies.Besides,my friends who are good at cooking may give me some advice on how to cook vegetables in another way. So in what way you become a good cooker day by day?

I am a very good cook, I experiment on tastes and ingredients. I see to it that what I will be cooking will be good and nutritious for my kids. I read a lot about cooking so in that way, i would know what are nutritious or not...I dont overcook vegetables because when you do, the nutrients will be lost...

Very good cook? I just knew it, I think I need to try some of your specialty when I get home, that way I could prove it myself that you are really a good cook. What do you think?

I love cooking and enjoy a lot so I also do experiments and make changes in the dishes and create my own recipes as well. I always try to find some new and tasty food recipes and here on mylot i do the same. Not only learning I try to help others if i can for cooking anything or any tips.

How considerate a person you are! I can not agree you better.I have learnt several kinds of new cooking from TV channels,as you said, modern cooking.Meanwhile, experiences from different friends make great contribution to my dish variety. Do you know,I have to prepare my tomorrow lunch during supper making.I take it to work place and heat in microwave oven.So a well-prepared lunch will let me in a nice mood the whole day!

Oh,that is amazing!Thank you so much for your valuable advice!I am sure I will put it into pratice this night.I like spicy taste, you can not imagine that I am able to eat peppers without cooking once I was in school. Unfortunately, since the weather is so dry that i dare not to take much spicy foods now due to constant constipations. Thank you so much.I will tell you my feeling after trying it soon.

You can make italian sandwitch its very delicious and a complete meal if you add some chicken and vegetable in it. Macaroni and vegetable salad is another choice well! for this you dont need to use microwave because its serves as cold and for dressing you have to use mayonese with some sizling of salt pepper and add some tomato ketchup and tabasco also to become tasty and little spicy, I suggest you its very very suitable for a nice lunch party.

And so do I,my cooking once was thought tasty, but now it's getting worse.I don't why, one thing is sure that some innovations are badly needed for our appetite. I like cooking because I can try to satisfy myself by doing some delicious foods though they are not always as good as I expected. Most of all,you will enjoy that kind of ,say sense of self-achivement if your ability or skill has been praised by others.I would say,I am a person who is likely to indulge myself in such kind of circumstances. Cooking ,in other words,is an art.

Well, I learned a lot of the things that I cook from my mother. She was never one to push me out of the kitchen when I was younger, so I learned from a pretty young age. From there, I kind of just throw things together on my own, and see how they turn out. I'm a fairly good cook I think, and my boyfriend thinks so too, so I'm not too worried about my skills. You could always look up recipes online, it's a lot faster, and doesn't cost you anything like a book is going to cost you. I personally enjoy cooking, but not all the time. I like cooking for my boyfriend, but not for big groups of people, because I hate to clean up my mess afterwards. I know, that is horrible, but what can I say, I'm sort of lazy sometimes.

Hi,jenni, nice to see you again! It is out of question your mother expect you to be independent at a pretty young age. That's right! My mother have done all houseworks for our whole family since I was born.I even have no chance to help her in any.I guess my mother love us so much that it seems to her that work is none of our business at all. The result is I was not able to wash my own clothes in college, not to mention making meals myself.Haha,Don't think I am blaming my mother now.It doesn't matter,I learn to live myself now,it's ok.Though several difficulties I have met,I become more experienced to deal with them next time.Just like cooking,do you know,I ate instant noodles every day when I came to work and rented room with my classmate in 2005.The bad effect is I got serious ill due to malnutrition in 2006.A hard time and really unforgettable! Like a nightmare! Luckily,I could do a handful of dishes to complement nutrition daily-needed. Have a nice day.Jenni!

Oh, my mother never forced me into learning in the kitche. I simply wanted to learn, and so she began teaching me little things at a pretty young age, and so I learned over time. I used to love helping her cook.

I understand how you feel as I also live far away from my mother, and only know how to cook a handful of different things. My problem is that my partner is a good cook and hates to clean. Therefore he cooks and I wash up afterwards- a beautiful partnership. I haven't bought cookery books but I do collect recipes from magazines and the internet. I find making crumbles easy and tasty- both sweet and savoury. I rarely follow a recipe completely, I end up adding my own twist to it. The best way to become a good cook is to try different recipes, hence adding variety. Maybe you can endeavour to try a new recipe every week? Then you won't get sick of the same foods all the time. We never have the same dish in a week and that keeps our diet fresh. Good luck and let us know how you get on!

Well,if that 's the case, I am afraid it takes time for me to think about how to make foods differ from day to day.Another hard job to me! But it has no way since I should improve my cook then I can be energetic enough for my corporate life! On the contrary,my boyfriend would never have this kind of worry. He always is the critic of my dishes.Oh,that's crazy! Anyhow,I will take your good advice and invent my own recipes eventually!

Well,I learned cooking from my granny and my mom. I enjoy watching them cooking, and when I grow up,I could do it myself. Actually,I did bought some cookiing books, but the thing is I can never cook a meal as delicious as the books described. So,give up self-study,then turn to the tired same tastes every day.

Most of my cooking I learned from my grandmother, and my mother. Very rarely do I use a cook book or a recipe. Maybe for cakes or something like that. Most of what I make is just a variety of stuff the I like to eat, and then I find something creative to do with it. Sometimes it doesn't turn out like I thought, but always good. Some of my Mom's favorite recipes though are out of old country cookbooks. We don't eat much "ready to cook" stuff, it's all homemade.

I agree that learing from your mother is the best way (you might even discover that you have a secret family recipe) also the internet is extremely helpful as it can provide very useful basic information about cooking... you can then build on that infromation to suit your taste...

I learned the basics back in High School in our home class but, by the time I actually had to apply the knowledge, it all went through the window so, it was all trial and error once I had to cook for myself. I use cookbooks, always have. I am not great at coming up with recipes on my own. I have done a few that I like real well but, nothing even worth sharing. There are a few great cookbooks that I can suggest. Better Homes and Gardens, Cooking Light, and there is a Pillsbury cookbook that I love too. Just remember that everyone has to learn and everyone, even seasoned cooks, makes mistakes.

I love to cook as well. And I think I learned how to cook from my fahter. In the family, it's really weird. My mom does not know how to cook. I mean, not that she's totally ignorant about it, it's just that back home, my dad is almost always the one cooking food for the family. My mom confessed that eversince the beginning of their marriage, they already talked about her inability to cook food, because she said, as a child, she was always assigned to clean their house, and never really learned how to cook food. What's even more weird is that, since it is my dad who almost always cooks food at home, my brother and I eventually were the one's asked to cook. It's, like you know, all the boys in the family are cook - my father, myself and my youngest brother. You bet, my brother is a really good cook, he even contemplated on becoming a chef seriously in his life. So I guess, I was able to learn the art of cooking from my father. And of course, self-learning from the Internet.

if you become a good cooker day by day, supposely, u must confident if you want make to make something or action, for example you are cook curry or other food,if you want to put salt into your food, you must confidence how much salt you want to add in you food. if you see a chef their confident to put everthing in their food. You also follow the ingredient types of food, if you miss one ingredient your taste in cooking, so bad.
