Real Friends

I recently saw a post with this title. I am not a Jerry Springer episode. I live in a small town. I have three children in school. It seems like the only way to make friends around here is to visit the bar! Not for me! I volunteer at my children's school, that does not really find a friend, it finds acquaintances. My children are also in sports, I find only acquaintances there as well, although we have hung out, it still is'nt the same. So how do you really find friends in a small town? Especially one where everyone talks about each other? Do you even have a chance at finding someone you actually "click"with? I have lived here a total of 9 years, yes , a homebody, but I refuse that the only place I can meet people is the bar. Where can I find a life? And could it really be through school? Cuz I have tried it several times.........it just don't work.
