What is there in movies that attract people in great numbers? Why are people so happy to watch the stories of other people? Where does this fascination come from? What is your opinion.

I would say that movies are a very creative art form, because they involve the crafts of acting, directing, editing, music and visual effects. I like to watch movies that seem magical and beyond my imagination, otherwise I would prefer to read a book.

Movies are usually larger than life. People would always fancy about being the lead character. That's why many peoples' way of thinking and actuations are somehow derived from the movies. Others would watch movie because they are curious and they want to be educated.

I watch movies because I love stories. New stories, old stories, True stories, made up stories.I like them all. I like seeing them being well acted. and if they are set in places I will never get to go and they are set in a time I never get to experience, that's even better.

All other things being equal, people watch movies for they have been taught to watch since childhood and also watch movies for the sake of watching movies. And watch movies as their neighbours watch....and then they start watching movies for different reasons specific to each person.
