Teenagers with a bedroom television tend to have poorer diet and exercise habits and lower grades in schools than those without one. Those with a bedroom TV were more apt to watch it a lot, clocking four to five more hours in front of television per week. Teenagers with bedroom TV have a lower grade point average than teenagers without one, as well as eating less and having fewer family meals. These details were provided in a recent study on teenagers having TV in their bedroom. It really cleraly points out that there is some merit to not allowing our children to have a TV in their bedroom. What do you say?

My younger kids do not have a tv in their rooms. but the eldest does, my problem with that is my dishes are always missing.I use to keep tv's in all the rooms but had issues with them watching them way after bed time, and getting up groggy in the mornings so they had to go.

I don't think that anyone should have a TV in the bedroom. Bedrooms are primarily for sleeping. The TV can create some terrible energy and studies have shown that watching TV before bed is to stimulating for brain to be able to enter a deep and proper sleep. I am a very anti TV person at the best of times! I actually think that children of any age should be raised without the presence of the dreaded box. I have even published an article on the topic.
