Is today really a day we should be having are children celebrate in halloween? How do parents feel sending there children door to door to accept candy from srangers when we teach them not to talk or accept candy from starngers? Are we going against what were trying to teach them? I celebrate Halloween but have often had these thoughts about this holiday. Is there anyone else out there who has had these thoughts? Or any parents who are against it or for it let me know I'd love to hear your side!!

Unfortunately, this is a different day than when I went trick-or-treating, when the kids used to run amock and come home with loads of candy (sometimes making 2 trips out!). We really have to watch it more now. Parents who are really concerned will take their kids around to homes of friends or people that they are familiar with. The shopping malls are also quite a big hit now, too. That's fun because it's lighted so the little ones aren't as scared (not going up a dark entryway) and we don't have to watch for cars! And it's a real blast for the store workers!!!
