Ok I know its early in the season but after satrting 2 games and winning them both it's hard to believe that wang wont have at least 20+ wins thisi year and with him pitching this well, it will only do wondes for the yankees. Can any one else say Cy young

I love this guy. I think he's a crafty pitcher, but I don't see him pulling down a Cy Young award just yet. He really hasn't done much in the playoffs and while that isn't supposed to count when voting, it is in the back of the writer's minds. He doesn't put up the key numbers, his strikeout total is low. He doesn't go out and strikeout 10 batters very often, unlike a Beckett or Verlander. He gives up a lot of hits, but bails himself out with a high number of double plays. The last thing I think that will hurt him, is he isn't dominating and that may cost him wins when he faces off against a Beckett or Verlander. Both of those pitchers can shut-down offenses like the Yanks, while Wang is prone to give up a run or three. Now if Beckett and Verlander have off years and with Santana in the NL, a 20 win season could push Wang to the forefront, but there a lot of great young arms in the AL...it'll be tough. I think he is a very solid pitcher and will only get better. The Yanks will be paying him a ton of cash real soon!!
