And Do You Use Flea Shampoo Every Time? I Have A Little Dog And I Don't Want To Make Her Sick Bathing Her Too Much But About Every Other Day, She Starts Smelling Like Wet Dog That's Been Into Everything Stinky. Is There A Spray Or Something For Things Like Getting Rid Of That Smell And Not Having To Bathe Her Every Day? If Anyone Knows Of Anything And Where I Might Be Able To Get It, Let Me Know. I Love Her But I Can't Stand That Smell Anymore.

When my sister and I were living together, we keep two dogs in the house too. We bathed them everyday though they live inside the house but they're playful and sometimes tehy have those chocolate stuff in their hairs especially on their mouth side. They love chocolate especially ice cream, my sister loves those too. We feed our dogs just whatever they wanna eat except those that can give them allergies. Because of that, they get a little dirty so we tend to wash them everyday.

I only wash my dog once a month. I use dog shampoo, but it doesn't have flea killer in it (we give him a seperate treatment for that). Using shampoo made for people will make your dog smell horrible really quick. Part of the problem may that you are bathing her too much. Her skin is working overtime to produce it's protective oils that you keep washing away, so she gets stinky faster. Try not washing her so often, try to add a day or two between baths for awhile and give her body time to adjust. If it is really a big problem, ask your vet,in case there is somehting wrong with her skin.

I bathe my two dogs about twice a month with an oatmeal shampoo so that it doesn't dry out their skin. It is generally unhealthy to bathe a dog more than twice a month because their body needs time to recover from the loss of nutrients and oils found on the surface of the skin. I have a spray that I found at petsmart that I use to get rid of the smell (how do they get smelly so fast?!), it works pretty well and I use it abotu twice a week. Hope that helps!
