Has anyone heard of a Virtual Assistant or VA? I have recently started my own VA company and I am seeking help from my fellow bloggers and small business owners. A VA is an Office Administrator who can work for anyone, anywhere in the world. I specialize in desktop publishing (flyers, business cards, newsletters, menus, etc), bookkeeping, spreadsheet design, web design (using MS FrontPage, but currently enrolled in an Intro to Java course for flash animation and web design using html and visual c++), customer service, and so much more. I am looking for small business owners who need help running their day to day functions, whether it be creating advertising flyers or newsletters, managing contacts or databases, creating spreadsheets, or managing emails, etc. I charge an hourly rate for my services and also have retainer rates available for large projects. You can visit my web page at www.The-Cunning-Touch.com for more details. If you, or if you know of someone who may benefit from my assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me. Cheers, Sheena The Cunning Touch Virtual Assistance for your Small Business

I love the idea behind the VA companies. I think it's definitely an up and coming new business venture. I'd like to create my own for secretarial skills. Perhaps I'll give it a try! Good luck!

Thank you! Good luck to you too :) It really is a great industry to get into. VAs can really benefit small business owners who are not able to afford to house an admin assistant. A small business owner hiring a VA doesn't have to worry about benefits, vacation time, sick days, etc. A lot of small businesses these days are run out of a basement, so I make things easier on them and offer my services from my home office, that way they don't have to hold the extra expense of having an actual employee working under them.
