Who are they kidding?

I really wasn't sure what category to put my latest rant under. Eventually I just decided that it's part of life so here it goes. A warning though... this is mostly geared towards the women in the crowd... I recently picked up a little trial package of a new Always product - it now comes with a wet-wipe! Just too funny. Anyways, yesterday was the first time that I used them. I open it up and as I'm going to remove the paper backing I see that it says (and I quote) "Have a Happy Period". Are you kidding me? The advertising and packaging people in that company must be men!

I've seen this before. Always has been doing this for quite awhile now. I understand the message they are trying to put behind the slogan. They don't want periods to be a pain or anything anymore. They're just trying to make things more convienient for women. I'm all about embracing our cycles and making peace with our body anyway, so it doesn't bother me, but the slogan is kind of strange in my opinion.

I hate that too! I think I started a discussion a while back about it! LOL! Seriously? A Happy Period? Really? Ever had one? There is nothing "HAPPY" about it. From cramps, to headaches, mood swings, to acne breakouts, uncomfortable moisture to having to develop a habit of removing and replugging every 2-4 hours for a day or two and then 6-8 hours for the next couple days. Yup...nothing happy about it!

Only a man would come up with a slogan like that. If the person who thought that up thought it was cute well he better think again. I wonder how many women contacted the company to let them know what they thought of that slogan. I know if I was still having periods I would be contacting the company that makes those to let them know what I think of the slogan.

Haha, seriously. There's no way a woman came up with that slogan. It seems almost mean.
