when can one say that he or she is ready to settle down and get married?

I agree - it happens. There comes a time when you just know that it is time to 'pack away the toys and grow up'! I regret nothing of my bachelor days and had a lot of fun and experiences but I never regret getting married. That was 38 years ago and she has been the one and only girl in all that time. Plenty of offers, mark you, but all politely declined with thanks! haha
