Wal-Mart

Has anyone had bad experiences at Wal-Mart?? It seems the more I go, the more I hate that place and the worse my experiences are. On my last trip, I took my daughter to the vision center to get new contacts. Of course she had to have another eye exam. She was given a prescription for Oasys contact lenses. When the contacts came in, they were another brand. I did not think it made much difference until a couple of weeks ago she developed a severe eye infection in both eyes. I called the vision center and was told that she had to come in for another eye exam and yes, I had to pay for it. It had been exactly 54 days since her last eye exam. Instead of driving the 50 miles to that store, I found a local optomitrist and paid him for the exam. He explained that he sometimes filled in at various Wal-Marts and since the prescription was good for a year, I could just refill it. He suggested getting O2 Optix lenses. Have you ever tried to do something like this?? It was a nightmare that drug on for days until I finally told Wally World to take their vision center and shove it. They refused to let me get a different brand of contacts. Why was it okay for them to give her a different brand but not let me choose a different brand?? They inisted that I had to get the same lenses that caused a severe corneal infection in both eyes. Why in the world would anyone want to do that? Am I wrong here??
