Is envelope stuffing a scam?

Has anyone actually made money stuffing envelopes at home? I have seen enough scam money making "opportunities" to know that things are not always what they seem to be. Do you know what the deal is with envelope stuffing?

Yes I actually did this years ago.I payed $30.00 for a package of envelopes and flyers. But on the checklist was extra things that I needed to purchase.And stamps were not included.so never pay for any work at home program. Especially stuffing envelopes. These are scams so beware.

Ive applied for an info pack before regarding stuffing envelopes. It required you to send a large self addressed stamped envelope to the value of £$ ? Now either that package got lost in the post or they had me off, covered my name & address over and used the stamp for them selves.
