I think that a car is the safest means of transportation. This is in countries where they have a good road safety record. In some countries I have seen some dangerous driving and accidents can happen sometimes. Planes are usually safe to travel on but some crashes do happen. Trains seem a very safe form of travel in some countries but again accidents do happen from time to time. I have heard of many bus crashes so they are not the safest form of transport.

i think buses are safest means of transport. Because you are travelling with a lot of other people in bus. So i you have any problem then they can help you. If you are travelling alone in car then noone will be there to help you if you are in a jungle or any lonely place. Only my opinion.

I think as long as one do not travel too fast every vehicle is safe. I think cars are safest for travel as long it do not exceeds the speed limits. I like cycling very much. Bikes are another transport I love very much.

I dunno. I have seen busdrivers drive, so I will say cars...for the most part are safer.

hello genius_eshwar007,I believe cars are always the safest mean of transportation..when you travel at 90 miles per hour.lol.

There isn't any safe mean of transportation these day, not even WALKING :)) But according to statistics, the airplane IS .. I'd always choose a plane to travel if the distance is more than 500 Km ..

I was just going to add that statistically air travel is the safest - I am suprised you are the only one so far that knows that. I would think traveling by ship would be pretty safe too. You never really hear of large ocean liners sinking.

You're absolutely right .. A ship can be safe too, but the problem is that if a ship sinks, the number of casualties is huge and it's also very slow ... It is very romantic though ..I would like to take a cruise to Greece or something.

As far as I'm concerned, what makes a mode of transportation safe is the person opporating it. I've heard of car crashes, I've heard of plane crashes, I've heard of bus crashes, and train crashes... and I've ridden on all four modes of transportation, and lived to tell about it.

No transport is the safest means of transport.But if you take the safest among all means of transport definitely railways will stand first in terms of providing safety for the life of travelling passengers.

First of all, in any means of transportation, to be safe u need luck, in spite of us being so very careful when driving, due to the other's carelessness, we can end up crushed...anyways, coming to the point, i hope train travel is quite safer compared to the rest (hope all of us know the answer as to why)
