Which foods did you hate as a child and maybe still hate?

I remember as a child that my mother had some difficulty with me and my food preferences. Some foods just turned me off either because of their odor, taste or texture in the mouth. Here's a list of foods I have hated since childhood:*cheese (smell me feel nauseous) *fresh milk (same as above, it had to be condensed or skimmed milk powder) *sausages (same as above, just started eating this approximately 5 yrs ago because of my nephew) *carrot juice (also made me feel nauseous) *porridges ( Not sure I can really explain but even now I do not like porridges) I guess I gave my mom quite a bit of worry as to whether or not I would grow up healthy. Did you have any of these food prejudices as a child and do you still have any of them now or have developed any? Does your child's eating habit worry you?

Liver! My mother always fed us liver and I hated it and still do. I won't be in the same room with it. I'm also not real fond of vegetables. Carrots are awful, as is okra, eggplant, asparagus, green beans, all of them yuck. I have terrible eating habits. I don't like much meat, don't like many vegetables and so eat more carbs than I should. My children are pretty good about eating what is put before them and rarely turn anything down.

Okra!!! oh yea I forgot that one. My mom and brother cooked and had some just earlier this week. My mom and the heart to ask if should cook some for me. Uh uh. Good for you your children arent as picky as you are. I love that in children even though I was the opposite. (lol)

well, i'm a real picky eater so i can't write all the food that i dislike here. but one thing i don't like for sure is seafood. i can eat fish fillet hehe but nothing else. it seems that my son is taking after me in this aspect. he seems to take more junk food than staple food which worries me sometimes but he's still healthy. thus i just try to encourage him to eat other types of food as well. i won't force him though as it would be a chore to him as well as to me. grins
