The perfect love affair is one which is conducted entirely by post.

Seams to be that way with Mylot as well, because there are a lot of posts made here that the members respond to and end up making new friends and start to love them even though they have never met them. Words and sentences are so powerfull that describe the kind of person that they fall in love and hopefully like to meet in the flesh so to speak. Do you feel that way having corresponded with the myLot members?

I think you find many friends here on myLot along with a number of other similar sites. You really can't wait to see what they've posted for the day and read their responses to your posts.

Thats what friends make us do. By being a friend in return and keeping in touch is as you say anticpation in looking to see what they have posted in return.

I have mail, is a great way in saying that myLot is also a great friend by letting me know that a member has responded to my wonderfull discussion that I have posted.

Yes, I have but if I might say so, your header is a very strange comment. For the life of me, I can't see that ever being true. There is nothing like touch, and looking a partner, or friend in the eye, to bond a relationship... nothing like seeing a person smile and their eyes shine, or feeling their breath on your face, hearing them breathe, seeing them shed a tear, hearing the expression in their voice. You can't do that by post my friend, be it mail, or Mylot. Feelings can be developed, held and even heightened, but there's no real intimacy until a person has met his friend/partner face to face. Brightest Blessings. x

But that's physical contact as opposed to mental or verbal contact. How can the latter be classed as a "love affair?"

All our senses are enhanced when personal contact is made and re-inforces the imagination we have had contact with that person through correspondence.

Even though we are many miles away our thoughts are linked and I reckon that is a contact between us made by the possiblity of tranfering those thoughts here by words of print, which in turn stirs the imagination.

i have not had any good conversation with my lot members.. in my time of membership here, i am pretty independent. though there are those i admire when they posts topics and answer discussion, my admiration ends at that. :) i believe you though, that it is when you talk with people that you will find them interesting... and likable. i have met someone online and feel as though i like his manner of talk, his thoughts, etc.. so i guess a good conversation can actually be a good start of getting to know a person. :)

If we have similar interests and correspond well and have the inclination to visit then things could be arranged for the event to happen.
