java has been called "C++ for the internet", and while ther's some truth to that especially with the JAVA?XML connection that's proving so hot these days- the internet is not only the place you wil find java. more and more companies are using Java to build applications that have nothing to do with the internet, but more and more to do with cross platform realiability. I've seen many major incorporations making the gradual shift from c++ to java for in-house programming. Java's influence is spreading, and ther's no sign of stopping it. with each new version, there's more power and more depth to work with.

hi this is most interesting question as my interest why java is more valuable than c++ because java is a platform independent language but c++ is not platform independent means java class file which is run in one system (os) than it is run into the another system (likely to be different os) than this file is run and not give any error but in c++ this is not possible. another advantage of java is it is pure object oriented language but c++ is not
