they say that many of the students have a hard time going to this university because of the heavy flood in the area whenever the rain pours so hard. Some of them decides not to go to school anymore because of it. Is this really the greatest problem this university have? have you ever experienced going to this university while there is flood?

Definitely I experience going to the university even when there is flood. I just stay in a dormitory in dapitan and it's literally just a walking distance. And for me to go to school I had to ride a tricycle or a trike bike just not too get wet by the flood. The worst part is I need to pay 30 pesos. That worth is like I already rode a van/fx back home. But I have no choice.

I have and I went inside our classroom bare footed. We were only a few and around the time that we were suppose to have a class, a guard suddenly came by and said that classes were suspended. To think that I made three rides in an hour just to find out that classes were suspended. I had to find that School paper and stuffed my shoes with it until it seemed try while wrung my socks There was also a time when I was about to go home and it poured really hard. I went aboard a bus, also bare footed.

Yes it's true. And it's true that to be able to be a full-pledged Thomasian, you have to be able to experience this. I experienced it once, I had to ride a tricycle just to get across the street. I could have walked across, but my shoes will have to be fully submerged in the flood. Now I'm thinking about getting a pair of boots from Pluey's hehe. It doesn't flood in the campus, but the roads and streets outside the University gets really flooded.

Whoah! This is so true. Our school might have changed its name to "Las Islas Ust".. hahah.. and the bad thing is when the students attend their classes and then there will be a "late" announcement about suspension. Arg. I hate that! haha.. Howell, i still love the school. I'm a Nursing graduate, so can you just imagine wearing ALL WHITE uniform then with just continuous rainfall (even without a typhoon), you will be sure to expect a flood. Haha. But I will surely miss those days.. :)

UST had that reputation and it's true that Espana is get easily flooded during the rainy season. During my highschool days, I experienced the pain of heavy rain. No jepneys and no one to fetch me. I had to go against the rain and flood to get to Morayta where there're jeepneys that I can ride. That's why whenever it's raining hard, it's as if an initiative that students will think classes must ge suspended, since UST gets flooded easily.
