slippers - why do we have to wear slippers

real funny question? some of youll would wonder why i ask such a funny question but think about it. why do we wear slippers, is it to protect our feet, well then we could just wear only socks, why would men have to wear socks and shoes? funny questions but think over it. any smart suggesttions are welcome

Well, socks absorbed the sweat and shoes is the one really protecting the feet from objects that may cause injury. Someone told me that he is wearing two socks always to absorb sweat so his feet will not have a bad smell!
