Download Or CD?

Do you download your music or buy from the CD from where you go to buy your CD's. I personally use F.Y.E to buy CD's from. They seem to rejoice when I walk in, I usually by over 100 dollars worth of CD's when I go there. I do have some downloaded songs on my PC, but I enjoy the fun of actually going out and getting the CD.

First I would compare the prices... But there's nothing like owning your own cd collection. I guess it has a more sentimental value. Especially if its a band you really like you would buy the whole discography

I have done that with Arch Enemy and Motorhead, also with Megadeth. For Megadeth and Motorhead I also purchased the boxsets. However some of the Arch Enemy stuff I have found hard to find where I live. They usually only carry the newest stuff they have.

Im downloading. But I'm trying to buy the music I really like online. It is more comfortable to have all music in the computer and have it wired to the stereo with AUX. The only music I burn is for the car.

Hey motorheadbanger...I LOVE buying CDs. My favorite way to buy CDs is via eBay or by BMG CD Club. Most of the time they have good deals like $4 CDs plus shipping (which makes it about $6 each CD). We don't have FYE here, but if I want to really buy a CD I usually go to Target or Best Buy. I buy about $60 worth of CDs through BMG CD Club. Downloads are okay, but I actually love getting the physcial CD, especially if I know it's a good CD. Then later I can sell the CD (you can't re-sell those downloads). However, I think people like to download because it's more convient and cheaper than buying a CD. Most CDs cost around $10 if on sell or it could cost $15 or more if regular price. That's why I like my CD club so much because their CDs are so cheap. Pablo

I have never tried downloading music from the internet. It seems expensive, isn't it like $2 per song? I only buy used cds these days, but would be open to downloading music if it were cheaper. It's funny, because I have like 200 cassette tapes, and a lot of them are beginning to crash and burn. I'm thinking of replacing some of them, and it seems like downloading would be the way to go.

I always try to listen to a bit of the song via a band's myspace site or youtube. Most of the time I use last.fm, even if I don't like the whole CD I go through I guess you could say a forced listening session. Where I basically listen to the album a couple of times through, giving every song a equal chance. And right now it has paid off the album I got by Down "Over The Under", I really only wanted the CD for the song "On March The Saints". But now I can listen to it with out a problem the whole way through on each and every song.
