Is It Possible To Get Tipsy From Fermented Grape Juice?

Today a friend gave me a bottle of Ocean Spray Diet Cranberry Grape juice with Splenda in it. She tasted it and said it was too warm and tasted like wine. I thought she was just being dramatic as usual, so I took it and drink it. It was good to me. But the next thing I knew, I was feeling woozy, laughing at everything, and talking too loud. My friends were teasing me and saying that I was drunk. Now mind you, I have been drunk before and I did feel a little off, even for me. But I figured it was surely the power of suggestion. But I will admit that I was acting up at one point where it was both rude and inappropriate. Is there any way that I could have been tipsy? We don't know how long it had been sitting in the heat.

How old was that grape juice? If it was fermented it would have to be really old. You could have had a reaction to the Splenda.

Well now, I know that I can not take the Nutra-Sweet. It makes me nervous and jittery. I do not know how old the juice was, but it was not expired. It seemed like it had been in the heat for a while. It was in a package with some other things. I do not know how long the shelf life is for those juices, but this one was due to expire on June 26, 2008.

Another thing, grape juice can't ferment on its own. Yeast is needed for fermentation.
