What was your very first job? Do you remember how much you got paid and how often you worked? Did you like it?

My first serious job was in a factory making Fisher Price Toys. I made 6.06 an hour in 1978. I got full benefits including dental and profit sharing twice a year as well as paid vacation, company pick nicks. You sure can't find jobs like that anymore...

That was a really good wage back in 1978 to start with and to have those benefits was fantastic. I sure wish those kind of jobs were still around.

My very first job was cleaning offices for a truck help line company. I got paid 6.75 and worked M-W-F from 5:00 to 9:00. I could really able to set my own hours there so it was great! My 10th and 11th grade years. I really liked it! Most of the time I was alone and could be on my cell phone the whole night and not get in trouble! Plus I met a few guys that worked there and it was nice to talk to them about school and hear about their families. They even came to my graduation! It was a great job for me in high school

Heck, if it just paid a little bit more, I wouldn't mind having that job now.

My first job when I graduated from school was actually a missionary thing. I was a volunteer in Benguet, Philippines for at least 10 months. After that I went to the main campus and worked as editorial secretary. I was not receiving a salary but what we called stipend or monthly allowance. I think it was one of the best years in my life.

What did you not like about it? I've always thought that was a job that I would enjoy doing.

my first job was working as a marketing assistant in a major bank here in the Philippines. The experience was great and challenging but i only lasted for 4 months due to compensation. I am only receiving a minimum wage allowance so i want to explore more to search for higer payed jobs.
