"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Edmund Burke are you guilty? do you turn a blind eye to anothers plight, or when you see an injustice, because you dont wish to become involved? feel your life is complicated enough without adding anothers problems to it? do you let evil triumph..? or do you take the honorable path, and step up?

It really depends on the situation. If it's possible I can help somehow I will. Financially is a bit difficult as my own are a bit tight but otherwise I'll get involved if needed.

not many have the ability to be tossing money around.. so no, i wasnt referring to financial assistance, but more the sort of actions anyone is capable of. offer comfort, open yer mouth and stand up for someone, or actively defend, protect.

That's a role I've often played. I think I still have the local record for Most Abusive Boyfriends Tossed Off a Balcony.

It was not always thus... but I take the time to stand up and help whenever I can. I've even based a good portion of my life on this aspect having received my mastery in Reiki, working as a spiritual advisor, receiving my ordainment, and as a paranormal researcher. There is another quote that this brings to life, but I do not remember who said it: "The best intentions are destroying us". It is one thing to stand up for what you believe to be right, as long as you do it in the right way. Otherwise you only hurt your cause. Right Way = Marching in a gay parade even though you're straight to show your support Wrong Way = Taking a catholic church hostage on sunday demanding gays be allowed in the military Right way = Setting up a doctors appointment because your friend has a curious lump on his neck Wrong Way = Attempting to carve the lump out yourself with a plastic spork in a KFC bathroom

so very true.. the method is just as important as the intent. doing something right in the wrong way, thusly turns the right thing into wrong negating what you were trying to do in the first place.
