What is the best thing to apply during pregnancy, so that your skin can stretch and avoid having birthmarks and big tummy after giving birth? After giving birth, what is the best exercise to loose weight and be fit again? What are the do and the not to do after birth? What about puffed tummy?

Hiya Pre pregnancy excersize routines are not recomended until 6 weeks after the birth of you baby, due to the fact that your body has been through a traumatic experience and needs time to heal itself both inside and out. As for lotions and the like, there is no real evidence that they work but they do help keep your skin supple and moisturised. I used a product called bio oil after i had my children as it claims to reduce stretch marks, unfortunaly i only gave it a week then gave up, but apparently it takes upto 6 weeks to see the results. It is also recomended for pregnancy too, so try giving that one a go.

I agree with you about pre-pregnancy exercise routines, but there's a big difference between exercise routines and simply going for a walk. Getting out of the house after having the baby can be good for both baby and mother, especially since mothers sometimes feel like they're isolated and house-bound after having a baby. Taking the child out in the stroller for half an hour just to get some fresh air is a good thing. I would wait for 1-2 weeks after the birth to do this, but I don't feel there's a need to wait 6 weeks.

Thanks guys for your comments. I heard that spreading some olive oil on your tummy helps preventing stretch marks and helps your skin to stretch easier. You know or heard something about this thing?

during pregnancy of course you will have big tummy. it is natural, but pregnant woman also need diet so that the child inside our womb will not grow much, on my first child i only eat bread and anmum in the morning, 1 cup of rice during lunch time and noodles in the evening.
