Are you a cat or Dog person?

Growing up we always had a dog. There was rarely a time when there was not a dog. So naturally I grew up to be a dog person. Whats your preference Purebred or mutts. I hear a lot of people say that besides the fact that pure bred puppies and kittens are costly that they seem to have a lot more health problems than the mutts. Do you think this is true? If your a purebred person what purebred dog or cat do you prefer. If you have a mutt what is it mixed with?
My favorite dog breed is the Chinese Shar Pei - you know the wrinkly puppies. If you have it I would love to see a picture of your pet, please share for us all too see

I'm definately a dog person. I do like cats, but I couldn't imagine ever owning one. I prefer purebreds over mutts by far, since with mutts you never know what you get and I don't like that. My favorite breeds are cavalier king charles spaniel, flatcoated retriever, newfoundland and leonberger.

cavaliers are so cute, but I like having a bigger dog. I feel more secure when I have a bigger dog.

We always had animals, period. More dogs than anything though. That was growing up, with my parents. My husband indulges my love of animals and since we've been together we've had: 2 cats, 1 dog, 2 bunnies, 1 scorpion, and 1 ferret. Currently, we have 1 cat, 1 dog, and the ferret. I can't decide what I like better, a cat or dog. Right now I'd have to say my cat because my dog is being very bad, LOL. But seriously, both have good & bad things about them. I guess I am neutral!

we always had animals too. My dog had a problem with telling us kids no when it came to pets. Growing up we had dogs, cats, bunnies, lizards, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs. By far though dogs are my favorite to have around.

I am like you, we have always had a dog! I am 50 yrs old now and I have had a lot of dogs in my day! Right now I have 2 chocolate labs. But, I would have to say that the dog that I had before these 2 was my favorite. I had him for about 12 yrs. He was a cocker/terrier mix. He was a great dog, didn't shed, was smart and loving! I really miss him!

MY family had a dog and a cat.The dog can see home for us,but the cat had don't catch the mouse,so i don't like my cat,she is lazy,she aways sleeping.
