Yes they sure do, but color therapy is slow and gradual. When you read about the effects of colors, you can use them by painting the desired color in your room or buying things of the desired color. Blue color might relax you, Red color makes you irritable and angry. Purple makes you feel dignified, talented and unique. Yellow forces yoy to be introspective yet optimistic.

that's an interesting idea. I've never really liked yellow before, but if they say it works, then i'll try it, i'm willing to try anything once that may help put me in a happy/positive mood even if just for a short amount of time. I dont know about red because I really don't like red much, but i do believe that blue has a calming effect. I remember when I was 19 I used to live with my best friend and her family. We shared a room and our room was painted a beautiful shade of blue, and i remember always feeling at peace and calm when i was in our room. Then when I had my own room and the walls were just plain white, (even now in the apartment i have), i had a hard time feeling comfortable in my room ,or falling asleep.

They say that the color yellow triggers you to be hungry and thats why so many resturants have yellow as their colors like the mcdonalds arch is a big yellow arch. People see that arch and get hungry. Supposedly anyway. My parents live in a yellow house and many of the rooms are yellow. I never felt any calmer in any of the yellow rooms though.

Well, sometimes its unavoidable that we feel depressed for the day..but for the health its not a good side, i believe in Meditation which will balance our mind and helps to be normal at situations.
