Having to have an injection and not knowing until I was in the chair. The dentist didn't want to tell me, because he knew I was scared of injections, so he thought it would be easier if I found out from my Mam, but she neglected to tell me. So I had to be pinned down, because I kept twitching and nearly passed out.

So you have this fear of needles? Had the dentist successfully injected you? I can only imagine what happend to you on the dental chair. You are not alone. =) I've also seen patients who were actually restrained with a papoose board so the patient won't be able to move.

Wow! All of those are horrible experiences and they make my experiences look so trivial. I don't know if I really want to list mine. So far, the only bad experiences I've had with a dentist is that they want to do all kinds of unnecessary work. I had one dentist who wanted to do almost $3000 in work on my teeth. It was funny, because I had seen another dentist just 6 months before and there wasn't any problem. I went to this dentist because I thought my dentist wouldn't take my insurance. Well, it turns out that my insurance is just fine and I am back with my current dentist. And,I didn't need all that work in any sense. This is the second time this has happened to me. But, I won't go into long details about this. But, that really doesn't compare to what other people have said. I feel so bad for all of you!

About 17 years ago I went to a women dentist and she just kept talking to this guy in the next chair (it was a big exam room) and she asked me to be still, I did not move a muscle and the tool she was working withjabbed the oppisite side of my mouth and I had tears falling down my face while she was working on me, but still didn't move a muscle. The witch didn't even say sorry or nothing. I had that scratch in my mouth over a week. Every since then I say no more female dentist. I don't care! Men have always been more gentle to female patients and Women nicer to men. I believe that and I am sticking to it. :)

My worst experience was when i had to my teeth. I have a small mouth but alot of teeth lol. I wore braces so 4 had to be removed. It was just terrible. 1 teeth being pulled out of my mouth each week. But the worst one was the wisdom teeth..all 4 of them in 1 day. I though i was going to die. Those are deep in the gum and the root are strong as well. When I felt the string on my tongue when the dentist was sewing up the hole, I think i just fainted with the mouth open. terrible indeed.

Having extraction of 1 tooth in a day can make the patient really anxious! What more if you'll have 4 of them extracted all at the same day. Whew!

Definitely! Will never forget that DENTIST coz until now, I was still traumatized with her and I can't bring myself to a dentist appointment until now. It happened few months ago, she did something, when I went home, it hurt like hell, i can't sleep, can't feel my half face and neck... so when I went back to the dentist, she just extracted my tooth.. then i didn't go back... Bad bad experience!
